The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
This position is a site based role for the Gorgon LNG project in Western Australia.

The Construction Superintendent will perform as a key member of the integrated Construction team on site for planning, coordination and supervising works packages working through the EPCm Contractor.

The role will commence in Perth initially to gain familiarity with the CO2 Project scope which includes CO2 Compressor Modules, CO2 Pipeline and Pigging Facilities, I&E, Manifolds and Wells.

Once mobilised to site in 2012, the Construction Superintendent will manage aspects of site preparation, pipeline construction, and preparation for delivery of CO2 compressor modules to site with Contractor HSE performance being a primary responsibility.

The CO2 Construction Superintendent will also support Drilling interface with Construction with regards to logistics, site layout preparation, water/waste management, hook-up and handover to commissioning.

This position must ensure that the Construction within his/her control is safe, environmentally compliant, cost-effective, constructible and timely.

The Construction Superintendent must ensure Contractor is adhering to the Company’s procedures and proactively correct any deviations.

This position shall investigate any outstanding or punch list items or concerns and provide timely responses to project team members.

The Construction Superintendent shall ensure proper installation and handling of Company assets at the various project sites by the Contractor.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must have the ability to immediately recognise typical oilfield material types and differences and develop a working knowledge of the project specifications, as well as the referenced industry standards, and must be able to read and thoroughly understand piping drawings, isometrics and shop drawings.
Knowledgeable in oil and gas production.
Tertiary Diploma in related field
Extensive experience in Upstream Oil and Gas with experience working on remote construction sites, WA North West experience would be beneficial.
Must be able to operate within an integrated team of Owner and EPCm personnel.
Experience compression/injection facility construction, pipeline engineering and construction, drilling/wells interface and ability to interface/manage works within live Operating facilities.
Good interpersonal skills, HSE leadership, contractor management.
