The Role:
The purpose of the position is to provide the technical support to the site to ensure the safe execution of projects’ onsite activities. Ensure compliance to the client's Standards, good industry practices and local legislative requirements where applicable.

The Construction Superintendent shall be the primary coordination interface between the AIBE Construction Team, Operations, Engineering, Commissioning and Contractors.

Key Accountabilities
Contractor Management
- Ensure proper contractor management is executed at all times
- Ensure compliance with the client's Standards
- Ensure proper communication is achieved between contractors and the Project team.
- Coordinate SIMOPS with the OPS team as well as other contractors that may be on site

Onsite Support for safe/effective project delivery
- Ensure main Contractor is performing and conforms to the client's expectations.
- Conduct daily communication with planning team to ensure that schedules are being met
- Support by attending relevant meetings both on and offsite as required
- Help coordinate mobilization/demobilization of personnel,materials and equipment to sites

Data Management
- Accurate site reporting.
- Tracking and close out of RFIs,TQs and action items, including actions from punchlists etc.

Safety Engineering
- Participates in RAs, HAZID and HAZOP studies for the site when required
- Identify HSSE and execution problems, gaps or issues and works with management to resolve them
- Assist in the change for improvement in personnel behaviors and performance in work execution
- Assist in the building of a strong HSSE culture at site

Give guidance to “good industry practices” regarding work ethics

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Trade qualifications in the civil, mechanical or electrical field
- Significant experience in working in the oil and gas sector
- Experience in working in the industrial construction field with HSSE knowledge
- Ability to work remotely unsupervised
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as being able to be a self starter
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate to personnel at a managerial level
- Able to work with deadlines and possess a proven track record of delivering required projects in a timely and professional manner.
