The Company:
As a supplier to an Australian based provider of EPCM project services, specialising in major international oil & gas projects, Fircroft has been engaged to source a highly experienced Construction Manager to assist in the delivery of downstream infrastructure, including a large portion of mechanical and piping. The position will be based out of Central Queensland on a rotational basis.

The Role:
- Oversee construction and ensure work is completed in adherence to project execution timeframes and HSE management plans
- Supervision of field staff, including direct employees, supervisors and various sub-contractors
- Regular reporting to the Construction Manager in relation to meeting project milestones and working through potential problems that may arise
- Monitor contractors to ensure compliance and HSE requirements are met as per their contractual obligations
- Assist in procurement and engagements of sub-contractors in line with project variations
- Remain aware of industrial relations to ensure proper and relevant polices and processes are adhered to on site
- Clear communication and delegation to field staff on contract administration, supervision and construction control
- Liaise with the planners to ensure execution plans remains achievable

*Likely roster conditions are 3/1 rotation to site, alternative arrangements won't be considered at this stage, with the exception of local applicants

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- 15+ years of major oil & gas project experience internationally
- 8-10 years piping installation exposure
- Strong comprehension of gas processing plant piping
- Welding inspection, weld testing and weld procedure experience
- Bulk piping erection, weld out, hydrotesting and restoration knowledge
- Detailed technical competence in mechanical equipment installation
- Strong knowledge of all relevant engineering & construction codes and standards.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Engineering or Construction Management Bachelor Degree
