Job Title: Construction Superintendent (Kenedy) - Eagle Ford

The Company:
Large international E&P looking for an experienced Construction Superintendant for Kenedy location as part of Eagle Ford shale resource play.

The Role:
The Construction Superintendant position will provide essential construction leadership within the Eagle Ford Construction and Facilities Team to ensure efficient project installation, cost discipline, and adherence to Company construction and maintenance standards.

The successful candidate will interface with Company employees, contractor employees, and vendors to optimize construction activities and capital in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Internally, the position will interface with the drilling, completions, production, land, regulatory teams, and third party utility and gas services. He/she will coordinate maintenance efforts with the Production Operations group to maximize use of contractor resources and work with drilling to meet project schedules and maximize asset value. Accordingly, effective teamwork is mandatory as information is gathered and communicated between the different team members. Due to the projected activity level in this area, the candidate must be highly motivated and possess exceptional organizational skills. Eagle Ford shale experience is required and the candidate is expected to challenge and improve existing company practices.

Sets clear HES performance expectations and ensures all MOC HES policies and procedures are understood and maintained within the construction activities.
Supervises and directs facilities specialists and contractors for all construction activities performed in the field.
Responsible for planning and scheduling of all construction and maintenance activities.
Tracks progress and ensures cost controls are in place to deliver projects on time and within budget scope.
Responsible for delivering on project schedule by securing sufficient of manpower and equipment. Anticipates lost progress and initiates schedule recovery plan with contractor.
Responsible for project material inspection and control, ensures Company materials and equipment are transported, stored, secured, and installed in accordance with vendor and contract requirements.
Ensures all jobs are performed in accordance with MOC engineering specifications.
Works with facilities engineering department for design, schedule, and implementation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

Degree: Bachelors preferred, but not required

Major: Engineering preferred, but not required

Computer Proficiencies: General computer skills and basic experiences with word processing and spreadsheet are required. Additionally, proficiency with project management applications would be a plus.

Certifications: None Required

Work Experience:
10 years or more experience in onshore field operations with a specific emphasis on new site construction and trouble-shooting and maintenance of existing infrastructure.
Specific safety leadership experience is also essential as the position will provide oversight and guidance for facility specialists and contractors to build locations (pads, roads) and complete facility installations.
