Rate/Salary: Negotiable
Benefits: FIFO- 21/7 rotation

The Company:
Our client sits at the forefront of Australia’s Oil & Gas industry and has embarked on one of the country's most exciting chapters in Coal Seam Gas exploration and production to turn into liquefied natural gas.

The Role:
The Upstream Project is to deliver gas and water handling facilities. The Construction Superintendents will be responsible for the management of all aspects of construction regarding Mechanical & Piping equipment associated with the compression and gathering stations. They will oversee the work of the client construction supervisors, construction contractors and service providers ensuring work is completed in line with contracts for service.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

- Ensure safety has the highest priority and is at the forefront of planning, execution and in all dealings with contractors and service providers. Ensure all contractor and service providers are fully conversant with clients safety expectations and hold regular meetings with all local managers.
- Liaise with Land Access to ensure that client has the landowners consent prior to entering the landowners property. Ensure lease and lease access construction planning is performed in a timely manner to meet requirements of client planning programme.
- Provide technical advice and troubleshooting for construction, design and operational issues
- Prepare daily construction reports
- Manage and monitor daily construction operations
- Ensure full cover for construction operations
- Ensure all Mechanical & Piping related works for the facilities are in accordance with project specifications and making sure they are maintained in order to safeguard technical integrity
- Provide Mechanical & Piping expertise and direction to Contractors, Vendors and Startup Team

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Technical Qualifications applicable to Mechanical Engineering
Must have a background in heavy industry and/ or the energy industry
Substantial experience within construction along with a substantial amount of field experience
Ability to oversee and influence contractors and suppliers through design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases of the project
Must have client experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Oil and gas experience would be preferred but not essential
