The Role:
Supervise all aspects of Pipeline / Piping and Wellpad construction at Fields sites
•Ensure that work is completed in a professional, safe & environmentally friendly fashion at all times.
•Ensure all construction activities are as per required codes and specifications
•Ensure all equipment mobilised for the Work is fit for purpose, well maintained, unmodified & has all safety devices as fitted by the manufacturer as standard present & in working order prior to the equipment being put into service.
•Review / Develop; in conjunction with the Construction Contractor, safe & practical work procedures & methodology statements that cover all major planned activities to be undertaken during the completion of the works.
•Ensure that Method Statements (MS) and associated Risk Assessments (RA) for critical construction activities are prior to the work commencing & that all findings are passed down to the workforce at the start of each working shift or start of activity.
•Monitor day-to-day construction activities to ensure that technical specifications are being met & that the final systems are going to be acceptable to both the Partners & the Algerian Authorities.
•Supervise and support field inspectors at construction sites as required.
•Monitor all aspects of QA/QC for Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation at the work sites.
•Review construction schedule to ensure all required activities have been included and the sequencing of work planned is realistic
•Monitor & report on progress for the duration of the Work & ensure that any actions necessary are developed, discussed & implemented should production slip behind the required Completion Plan.
•Utilize established Management of Change (MOC) and Site Technical Query (STQ) procedures for addressing any change or construction issues in the field.
•Ensure detailed handover notes are prepared for rotation partner at the end of the rotation

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
10 years plus experience in hydrocarbon industry and pipeline construction
10 years plus supervisory experience of a multi discipline team
Particular experience required with stringing, pipe bending, welding operations, trenching, pipe lower and lay operations, back fill, road and third party crossings, permanent reinstatement with its safe implementation.
Knowledge of all pipeline plant and equipment and their capabilities
Preferably with time spent on International Projects
Very Knowledgeable in Industry codes & standards (i.e. ASME B 31.8 and 31.3, API 5L, API 1104, ASTM A106 etc)
