The Company:
Our Client is a global exploration and production company with an exciting future in Australia, with assets and exploration activities in the Timor Sea, Western Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland.

The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Construction Supervisor to work for our project owner client on their LNG assets here in Queensland, Australia. Reporting to the Construction Superintendent, this role will focus on all field based construction activities to ensure project objectives are achieved.

Liaising with contractors and sub-contractors, the successful candidate will ensure that the work scope is completed with safety, quality, integrity and time in mind. This will include being accountable for oversight, monitoring and auditing of construction work through to completion.

Further to this the successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Compliance of safety and environmental aspects, having the authority to stop work if required
• Monitoring various aspects of the project work. This includes quality, progress and planning reviews, staffing, personnel mobilisation and fit for work requirements
• Producing communication and compliance reviews for the Execution Plan

In exchange, the successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to work on a LNG project at the forefront of the Oil & Gas industry here in Australia. The incumbent will gain the opportunity to travel internationally and work in a diverse cultural environment. Furthermore, this role offers a desirable long term contract of between three and five years.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent training and education
• Significant experience overseeing Oil & Gas construction projects, domestic and international
• Working knowledge of all relevant engineering & construction codes and standards
• Experience in a field engineering role, covering auditing, contract administration and progress measurement assignments
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with key stakeholders

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience working on LNG projects
