The Role:
Based in Korea in the Facility as part of the FPSO Construction team , reporting directly to the FPSO Construction Lead-Marine, responsible in a monitoring and influencing role for overseeing the construction and outfitting of the FPSO Hull and LQ blocks

To monitor and support Hull Construction supervisors in the delivery of the Hull structures on time , without injury to any parties, to the quality and integrity as defined in project procedures and specifications

To be responsible for ensuring the Hull construction, painting ,Mechanical Equipment installations and electrical installations and all other appurtenances comply with Contract specification, Approved drawings, the HSSE and Quality plans.

At all times work with 00 in a non-confrontational collaborative culture

- At all times lead by example as a project representative in all aspects of behavioral safety.

- Demonstrate full understanding of project golden rules of safety, and influence 00 delivering an incident and injury free Project

- Monitor that all shop floor AFC Hull Structural drawings are delivered to schedule and that they reflect the Project specifications

- Monitor that structural labourforce are competent and qualified to execute the scope and that all tools and equipment, method statements and procedures are available.

- Monitor the resource numbers and advise Construction Lead -Marine where deficiencies are witnessed


- Monitor and influence 00 in all fabrication and welding activities of structural, primary, secondary and tertiary steelwork to assure that the completed structures are built such that they reflect the integrity of the design.

- Report daily to Construction Lead- Marine the progress in relation to the schedule and highlight any areas of concern.

- Responsible for monitoring of delivery, safe custody and preservation and installation of all FPSO equipment packages relative to the Hull.

- To advise 00 when nonconformance situations arise such as when defects or other anomalies are found during Construction of the Hull or where standards of good shipbuilding practice have been eroded. Proactive support in resolving any issues are expected.

- To support the MC and Comms teams in system completions relative to the Hull scope and assure all Completions, testing and handover systems are in place and are managed effectively

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Previous experience in Ship Building with an emphasis on New Build FPSO Hull construction
Personal commitment and pro-active approach to HSSE

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Previous experiences in Korean Yards and a good understanding of Korean language and cultures
Previous experience with Korea
Previous experiences in FPSO Projects
