The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
• Rotational Contract Role - FIFO Surat Basin, QLD
• Minimum 12 month contract
• Competitive contract day rates
• Work on a Major LNG Project

As a Construction Supervisor - Mechanical Piping, you will join the upstream team working on the gas compression and gathering stations. You will manage all aspects of lease and construction deliverables ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, within budget and in compliance with Client policies, local government regulations etc.

You will be responsible for all construction staff allocated within the designated projects and ensure their performance provides a safe and successful operation during the start up, scheduled works and hand over of the completed works. You'll oversee the work of construction supervisors, construction contractors and service providers ensuring work is completed in line with contracts for service and have a strong understanding of process systems.

Main responsibilities are:
• Deliver operational projects that are captured in CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
• Supervising Client construction and consultant contracts ensuring adherence to compliance, saftey, terms etc.
• Provide daily reporting of all projects on safety, progress, environmental, schedule, delivery of materials issues, accommodation, transport, labour and all resources affecting the works, etc.
• Review project program and /or drawings for the purpose of resolving issues such as constructability, field conditions and design
• Manage outputs within the approved budget guidelines and constraints
• Use the Management of change process to enact alterations to scope, deliverables and or budget
• Provide direction to the, supervisors, sub-contractors and vendor personnel allocated to the projects and ensure that works proceed according to the overall schedules

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or Trade qualification coupled with management training
• Knowledge of international standards and procedures including Conditions of Contract
• Permit to Work knowledge and experience
• Experience using a structured engineering MoC process
• Able to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate successfully with internal peers and contractors to influence positive project results
• Ability to deal with conflict and achieve practical resolutions with strong stakeholder engagement skills
• HSSE knowledge and practical experience
• Knowledge of planning and scheduling

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Chartered member of relevant engineering institution, or equivalent, desirable
