The Company:
Our major Oil & Gas Client is in need of a Construction Team Lead for a MODU upgrade project in Seattle, Washington.

The Role:
• Accountable for the overall high level review of fabrication verification, including material receipt, piping and structural welding, painting, I&E and fabrication in accordance with the Contractor’s specifications, drawings and QA/QC requirements
• Participating as a member of the Site Leadership Team driving excellence in performance and delivery on promises
• Responsible for knowledge of the Contractor’s QA/QC procedures and passing that on to his inspection team
• Overall responsibility for defining roles, responsibilities and expectations and for providing direction to the Project Manager most notably in the areas of safety and quality
• Focal point for high level review of all Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs) and supporting Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs)
• High level of participation in constructability reviews when required
• Evaluating performance of Client’s site inspection team
• For all of the above identification of serious errors and/or omissions in Contractor’s work
• Oversee the overall project schedule and monitor planned activities to ensure a timely completion.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years experience in Construction, of which at least 5 years shall be in a Project Manager, Superintendent or Construction or Commissioning Lead capacity.
• High regards for HSE and familiar with industry safe work practices/procedures
• Be familiar with national codes, standards and common procedures related construction activities and specific to the project
• English as a primary language
• Strong Communication and Documentation skills
• Competent computer skills in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong People and Leadership Skills – Able to interact with a diverse team
• Strong focus on safety management with relevant safety training completed
• Familiar with crew make-up and job/task progressing and scheduling
