WORK LOCATION: Offshore, Azerbaijan
WORK SCHEDULE: 5/3 Rotation

The Role:
KEY ROLE:

The CVR is a key member of the Transport and Installation PMT which is responsible for delivering the offshore Transport and Installation workscope in accordance with Company’s Q&HSE expectations. The CVR will act as the Company Construction Vessel Representative on T&I Construction Vessels during the offshore workscope for the project.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
General:

• Demonstrate active and clear personal leadership in HSSE across all aspects of T&I.
• Responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective execution of project scopes and communication of project goals and expectations,
• Provide exemplary leadership to contractors and vendors to facilitate successful scope delivery,
• Ensure the installation contractor has a competent organisation and a high standard of resources in-place to successfully execute the work,
• Manage the contractor project execution performance and scope delivery,
• Maintain awareness and promote conformance to GPO expectations and requirements of Safe Design and Quality Build within the T&I Team and the contractors,
• Promote, demonstrate and ensure compliance with all appropriate elements of the GPO, Operating Management System (OMS), including Risk Management, Continuous Improvement and Management of Change,

Project Management

Delivery Scope:
• Review and comment on the Contractors’s offshore installation plans and procedures
• Act as Single Point of Contact with the vessel’s Captain/ Superintendent with regards to (as a minimum):
• Daily meetings
• HSSE issues
• Operational decisions
• Permit to work
• Other permits required to work in the field
• Chair daily vessel progress calls to report on progress, highlight issues and manage SIMOPs
• Approve the Daily Progress Report (DPR) as a factual record of the day’s events on the vessel or make comments to record any dissention from it.
• Ensure that the contractor on board the vessels have received adequate instruction and familiarisation in Company requirements, regulations, policies, procedures and any special or unusual hazards with regards to the T&I workscope
• Provide daily confirmation that the Contractor is complying with agreed Marine and Project procedures.
• When required, work in close cooperation with the OIM Asset personnel, Wells personnel and CompanyTechnical Representatives.
• Ensure compliance with the Company GOC (Guidance on Certification) system for handover of completion certification at the appropriate stage gates. Ensure handover to commissioning is completed
• Assist the Company Installation team onshore when required.

Responsibilities:

HSSE:
•Participate in Risk assessments Identify the major hazards, ensure that these hazards are mitigated to acceptable risk levels within project guidelines
•Assist in ensuring that all hazard management actions are correctly managed to closure
•Support Project colleagues in the delivery of HSSE excellence throughout the project
•Verify that the Contractor manages maximum periods offshore for operational personnel and that working conditions are maintained to a standard consistent with acceptable comfort.
•Carry out and record safety observations
•Be knowledgeable of: Worksite hazards, communications, local working practices, logistics and emergency procedures
•Report all emergencies, accidents, incidents and uncontrolled events and investigate as appropriate. Act as Company focus during any emergency on the T&I vessels. Complete all necessary reports and provide inputs into HSSE Incident and Accident reports where pertinent
•Ensure that the formal risk assessments, safety meetings and emergency drills, and regular work site meetings have been conducted with regard to the T&I workscope

Quality :
•Ensure contractor awareness, comprehension and compliance with: Company Policies, practices and procedures, Contractor policies, practices and procedures, Company marine procedures, Field and approach charts
•Provide daily confirmation that the Contractor is complying with agreed Marine and Project procedures.
•Ensure contractors have received and reviewed the vessel / worksite bridging documents
•Ensure the MOC process is followed
•Ensure that the necessary assurance activities have been completed
•Ensure that work is performed in accordance with the approved procedures

Schedule:
•Ensure that regular communications are maintained with key personnel
•Report job progress and operational issues

Cost:
•Issue all formal site instructions / directions to the contractor on behalf of Company
•Be responsible for any offshore contract administration and ensure contractor compliance. Keep a log of events, instructions and communications

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
ACADEMIC / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Engineering degree or equivalent
• A minimum of 10 years offshore installation experience
• Proven capability of contractor management and execution of offshore construction activities
