The Role:
The Contract Administration Engineer will be part of theProject Services and report to the Project Services Manager. The position will establish strong working relationships with shared SCM team, the Projects Team, and the main Contractors.The Contract Administration Engineer will be a UK based position providing contractual, cost estimating, and project services support related to ongoing capital project scope – such as Facility Modifications, Infrastructure Modifications, Gathering System installation. The Contract Administration Engineer will work closely with the CAM (Contract Accountable Manager), members of the Projects team, and main Contractors. There will be a requirement to effectively interface with the Shared Contracts Team based in either Algeria or London (i.e. the shared SCM team supporting both Joint Ventures).

Key accountabilities:

• Prepare COO’s (Contract Call-off Order) for main term Contractors
• Review and challenge Contractors estimates & proposals – e.g. CTR’s, Cost estimates
• Assist in the ITT (invitation to tender) processes for new contracts
• Participate in development of contracting strategies
• Negotiate and agree contract extensions, variations and claims
• Develop cost estimates for Modifications scope
• Assist with development of JV cost estimates for AFE (Authorisation for Expenditure) purposes
• Contractor Performance measurement (KPI’s)
• Contract Close-out
• Participate in periodic commercial audits of main contractors
• Assure compliance with JV procedures/processes, and proactively introduce process
• improvements or simplifications where appropriate.
• Provide assistance as required in various Project Services functions
• Actively promote and manage HSE requirements and goals.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Relevant contract administration (and cost estimating) experience in the hydrocarbon industry.
• Experience of working in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment.
• Good team player, with respect for other peoples cultures and perspectives
• Degree or equivalent
• English – Essential (Fluent)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• French/Arabic – Advantageous but not essential
