The Role:
To assist the Drilling Manager with the project controls for the team in terms of Contract Compliance, Management of live Contracts and identification of future Contract requirements.

Ongoing management of authorised contracts, to ensure that during the operations:

•Contract expenditure remains within the value approved
•Calls off’s are issued only against the approved value
•Raise requests to increase the value of the contract if necessary before a new call off is issued and in particular before any commitment is taken.

Together with the Drilling manager, to prepare and maintain the contract schedule with the support of the Procurement Department.

To ensure the Procurement Department is provided with the necessary information in advance of issuing new tenders in order to reduce the request for contract extensions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•To provide support to the Manager in terms of preparing department contract plans and strategies.
•To support the Manager in preparing requisitions and Contracts Board Submissions.
•To provide contract management services; this will include the administration of changes and variation orders, and claims, as well as analysis, advice and services to continually improve contract management and administration processes.
•To prepare a monthly status report of the contracts
•To ensure the contract status is in accordance with company policy in terms of validity, value and expiry date
•To ensure that any accruals are submitted to Finance in a timely manner
•To ensure that any accruals are submitted to Finance in a timely manner
•To liaise with Procurement, Finance and Engineers to support a smooth and effective contract implementation and management process.
