The Company:
Our Client is the Operator of one of the largest remaining gas fields with estimated reserves of about 3tcf, to be produced during a 30 year lifespan, will meet about 8% of the country's gas requirements.

The Role:
Primary Functions & Dimensions:

• Perform all contracting activities for an assigned portfolio of contracts. This includes RFP, Contract administration and close out.
• Assist in the development of Contract Strategies, and ensure all contract activities meet the needs of the business
• Identify, develop and deliver financial savings and value creation through application of supply chain management skills and techniques
• Maintain adherence to strong contracting processes and procedures while working with our contracting community
• Utilize all Procurement expertise available to gain greater market and contractor knowledge
• Gain a full understanding of company procedures and processes and follow these principles in all aspects of the role
• Ensure strict confidentiality of all allocated contracts and bid processes
• Be an active supporter of knowledge sharing opportunities within the functional team
• Participate in some aspects of Contract Management

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience preferably within an Oil & Gas company, in a supply chain/procurement/contracting environment(s)
• Practical understanding of a variety of operational business activities is essential
• Commercial experience / expertise essential
• Knowledge of contract language and legal clauses
• Strong written / oral communication skills
• A business or CIPS qualification would be advantageous

Critical Skills:

• Knowledge of commercial frameworks
• Good contract drafting skills
• Some negotiation skills
• Knowledge of integrated supply chain organisation
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic with ability to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills with a cross functional application
• Good presentation skills
• Knowledge of EU legislation as it applies to procurement of goods and services
• Demonstrable ethical integrity
• Fully competent in SAP and Microsoft software package
