The Company:
Our client is a large international oil and gas operator.

The Role:
Reports to (role): Procurement and Supply Chain Manager
Direct subordinates: Contracts and Procurement Engineers; Supply Chain Administrators

Overall purpose of role:
• Be the focal point for all supply chain activities associated with internal corporate functions including but not limited to
o Information Management
o Security
o Human Resources
o Communications
o Subsurface
o Office Services (Inc. new office requirements)
• Manage the Contracting & Procurement interface with Contractors, Suppliers and Consultants and Company in a professional and ethical manner.
• Ensure that all Contracting and Procurement activities are executed in line with the Company process and procedures.
• Co-ordinate activities to ensure Contracts and Purchases are delivered to meet required schedules.
• Ensure Company is not exposed to unnecessary contractual or commercial risk.
• Ensure utilisation of Company global agreements where necessary.
• Establishing local Supplier and Call-Off Agreements where necessary

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
• Develop and implement the contracting strategy for all corporate functions to meet the requirements of the appropriate stakeholders
• Provide direction and ensure high standards in Contracts & Procurement work and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Company procurement rules.
• Establish the development of an Indirect Contracts and Purchasing Bidders List in conjunction stakeholders.
• Provide due diligence on proposed Suppliers.
• Prepare, issue, evaluate and negotiate all tenders via the CMS system where applicable.
• Lead all commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers
• Ensure compliance to the recommendation for award (RFA) and contract management processes for all Contracts and Purchase Orders
• Award Purchase Orders in Company SAP system
• Ensure distribution of Purchase Orders as required
• Management and distribution of the Contracts as required.
• Be the focal point for the Procurement Country Council
• Act as secretary to the Tender board
• Ensure value for money is derived from procurement activity.
• Preparation of Contract Spend Analysis
• Participation in group category management activities where appropriate
• Provide assistance with improvements to the Tendering process where possible.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Preference for Degree qualified in business / management or equivalent discipline. Professionally qualified e.g. CIPS.
• Significant experience in an Indirect Contracting & Purchasing environment
• Provided Contract and Procurement leadership and influencing skills
• Demonstrable experience of tendering, awarding and managing Contracts and Procurement across a range of Indirect Contract and Purchasing requirements.
• Developed tender evaluation models & competent negotiator with Tenderers
• Developed contracting strategies which have delivered overall value to the business
• Managed internal and Contractor relationships at a senior and executive level.
