The Role:
Our leading client is currently seeking x2 Contract Engineers ANGOLA NATIONALS to be based in Angola working on a short term 3month contract.

• Provides functional leadership for the GOO category teams on safety, our values and behaviours, and compliance with our code of conduct.
• Accountable for delivering the category management fundamentals, including qualification and selection of GOO Suppliers and Contractors in order to ensure we award business to safe and compliant Suppliers and manage their performance.
• Responsible for relevant Contractor safety performance metrics, Contract Governance Board inputs and assurance for vendor audit programs. Require all potential high consequence activity (PHCA) bidders are audited, on our Approved Vendor List (AVL) and approved by the Contract
• Accountable for third party commitments to GOO suppliers/contractors per Group Operating Standard within Region.
• Accountable for working with the Line and suppliers to deliver value contributions tracked to the GFO.
• Accountable to support applicable Local Content and Nationalization Strategies that meets local requirements.
• Accountable for ongoing supplier management measurably reducing process and personal safety and operational risk in collaboration with S&OR, Line and Suppliers.
• Ensure that the PSCM agenda for GOO is aligned with business strategy and effectively delivered through the embedded PSCM teams in the Region.
• Accountable to ensure the GOO PSCM functional teams conform to the Operating Management System standards within the Region.
• Accountable for compliance to the common PSCM systems (e.g. Ariba One Source).
• The Specialist will read and understand all policies and procedures relevant to my role, with a special emphasis on financial controls, authorities, and procedures that minimize Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) risk for the company. The Specialist will immediately consult with my line manager on any process or procedure that I do not understand; the Specialist am not following, or is not being followed by another BP person with direct impacts to how the Specialist do my work.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• University degree in Procurement / Contract or Legal aera
• 5-10 years of experience in a contract position, preferably in an oil industry company
• Fluent in English
• Strategic Sourcing Process: evaluates and accurately captures business needs, analyses the markets and assess suitability of suppliers to deliver value. Includes issuance of bid, evaluation and recommendation.
• Category management knowledge (pre-award / post award)
• Demand Management: forecasting demand, alignment with business need and Category objectives.
• Technical Contract knowledge (contractual negotiations, Liability, Insurance minimum requirements, Claims and Contract administration)
• Experienced in using multiple enterprise system (SAP R3 - MM & FI modules, BW and e-sourcing tools)
