The Company:
Major operator is seeking a Contract Specialist for a 6 month + opportunity based in West Houston

The Role:
This role is accountable for development, delivery and management of procurement data for the Procurement & SCM integrated system. This position will implement processes and governance to ensure price book/catalogue and supporting data integrity, data standards and change management. In addition, this role will establish and meet regional conditions and business requirements. This position will be responsible for managing the price book activities/processes in other applications which include managing related service providers, monitoring and ensuring quality standards are met.

This role will be responsible to develop, implement and manage the price book/catalogue data standards and compliance for the segment. This person will be accountable to work with Regions and other stakeholders to define standard data formats and ensure change control processes are followed. This person also ensures the standards are maintained in other applications. It will include ensuring and reviewing data integrity, identifying impacts across systems and coordinating with other activities to ensure data development and maintenance remain consistent.

Key accountabilities
-Manage and coordinate the implementation of price books/catalogues supporting deployment
-Manage maintenance process for price books/catalogues
-Resolve business queries and requests relating to Procurement data (the go-between for technical and business people).
- Routinely communicate openly and with integrity with key business stakeholders to align direction between the internal customer directions
-Provide data analysis and reporting regarding data quality and leads continuous improvement projects.
- Provide business ‘help desk’-type support
- Test product and processes (following upgrades etc)
- Prepare product training materials/process documentation
- Develop and maintains KPIs relative to the application
- Support Global Master Data Team Leader
- Develop, implement and maintain the data standards for price book/catalogue data
Validate, edit, track data quality.
- Conduct validation tests on newly converted datasets in SAP

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- 7+ years proven experience working in Procurement and Supply Chain
- 5+ years experience in Backbone deployment
