The Company:
A major Global operator focusing on Exploration and Production operating in more than 110 countries and employing over 100,000 people. A leader in the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical Industries priding themselves in their innovation and Environmental/Energy Efficiency

The Role:
• Manage portfolio of low risk operational contracts. Develop, tender and negotiate contracts in line with the business demand.
• Sourcing goods and services for Upstream operations in the North Sea.
• Strategically manage tail end spend by working in close coordination with other contracting and procurement colleagues and category managers.
• Maximize value from Operational contracts • Implement global framework agreements locally.
• Work with regional Trading House Procurement Managers to optimize spend through Trading Houses.
• Ensure continuity of supply through managing ad-hoc business requirements in accordance with Tail spend management principles.
• Contribute to value improvement and savings programme.
• Analyse cost basis of procurement operations in the existing contracts for continous improvement.
• Monitor contract and contractor performance.
• Manage supplier and customer relationships.
• Drive compliance in the business in relation to: 1) optimization of CP process, procedures and business controls for operational contracts; 2) applicable legislation and competition laws. • Identify, develop and implement: 1) supply chain contract improvement opportunities; 2) supply chain process improvements were possible.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience with commercial transactions or negotiation is essential.
• Very good commercial sense and understanding of procurement.
• Ability to work with multiple contracts at the same time.
• Attractive opportunity for an owner of a Master / Bachelor degree in any Commercial Discipline, including Law, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain, Business and Marketing.
• Some exposure to market analysis is preferable.
• Ability to make decisions and execute with support of stakeholders.
• Well organized and able to manage competing priorities.
