The Role:
Job Description

• Assess risks of various P&T Projects and determine whether controls are ALARP to control high risk activities such as construction, commissioning/start-up and to support implementation of HSE MS, and best practices at sites across all COB’s.
• Review as required, contractor HSSE Management Systems and HSSE Execution plans specific to the projects they are tendering for and/or those on which they are about to mobilize.
• Periodically review performance of various Projects in their scope of responsibility and implement performance improvements.
• Coordinate with counterparts in other regions to standardize and share best practices across locations and regions.
• Assure uniformity in training and competence standards.
• Lead construction contractor management and Green-banding process, assessments in region.
• Provide input to contractor pre-qualifications
• Develop effective, businesslike relationships with all stakeholders
• Participate in and support incident investigations.
• Coach and mentor project team members
• Work to improve the capability of the HSSE Managers within the region
• Support Project Execution and Construction Readiness Reviews as required
• Ensure that all projects have defined and auditable BBS programs that fit within the global BBS template
• Take part in cold eyes reviews as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Candidates should have as a minimum, an engineering degree and/or NEBOSH International Certificate or NEBOSH Diploma
• Candidates should have had at least 10 years experience in the construction industry preferably in the energy sector working with either Petro-Chemical/Process companies or major EPC Contractors
• Strong, credible communication and influencing skills will be a pre-requisite for this role
• In addition, the candidate will need to demonstrate strong coaching skills in order to develop a wide range of stakeholders in their HSSE leadership behaviors

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Significant travel is required in this job, for up to 50% of your time.
The ability to influence and raise standards in support of Goal Zero is important as this is more than an advisory position.
