The Company:
With interests in over 20 UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) fields, my Client has one of the most significant exploration and production businesses in the offshore waters of the UK.

The Role:
Key to the role is the development and execution of Reliability, Maintainability & Availability strategies that optimise Maintenance for operated assets. The role requires a significant focus on Maintenance performance, Root Cause Analysis and Industry Best practice to ensure efficient and effective performance for operated and non-operated assets.

This includes providing assurance that maintenance is compliant with Group procedures, and that enhanced business and Maintenance practices are adopted to achieve functional and operational excellence.

Central to all activities is the institutionalisation of safe working practices and embedding a culture of performance excellence focusing on both the “what” and the “how”.


Key Accountabilities

• Onshore based accountability for the delivery of Reliability and Availability of Plant equipment offshore to ensure efficient and effective performance.
• Reliability Predictions, Failure Mode Effects & Critical Analysis (FMECA) & availability modeling through accepted engineering techniques, practices, & procedures.
• Developing and implementing preservation and maintenance strategies aligned with the Maintenance Analyst, this includes ensuring the implementation of any relevant Company policies, standards and guidelines.
• Monitoring, recording and trending of critical equipment reliability and availability figures and bad actor identification.
• Liaise with Reliability Improvement Team to ensure bad actors are correctly identified, categorised and prioritised.
• Analysis processes and procedures and make recommendations regarding cost effective process/maintenance improvements,
• Conduct critical reviews/assessments of systems and processes, carry out RCA.
• Proactive input to Production Loss Reporting reviews to minimise maintenance as a cause of loss.
• Reviewing, analysing and modifying the ongoing maintenance (including associated spares) strategy to improve performance, including backlog, productivity, PM review.
• Review Availability modelling and Life Cycle Costing, Operations and Maintenance Auditing and Benchmarking.
• Review and analysis of remote plant performance data to enable condition based maintenance to take place.

Skills

• Ability to analyse problems, assess risk profile, determine action, and develop solutions, communicating intentions and progress to all levels.
• Provide proactive and visible HSE leadership, demonstrating commitment to safety through language, behaviour and actions.
• Must keep technically up to date with industry best practice, legislation and Codes of Practices.
• Must comply with the requirements of Safety Management Systems (SMS).

Knowledge

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Good knowledge of offshore equipment, systems and associated regulations/legislation.
• Good knowledge of Maintenance Management systems
• Good knowledge of Production Operations and interfaces with maintenance.
• Good knowledge of maintenance strategy development, tools and techniques, RCA,TPM FEMCA,SIL.
• Extensive Knowledge of Work Management System structure and operating principles.
• Experience in use and application of reliability / availability techniques (SPARC, MAROS, MARKOV).
• Familiar with ISO standards pertaining to Failure Codes and Reliability data collection.
• Good knowledge of industry best maintenance practice.
• Ability to communicate with technical specialist.
• Provide proactive and visible HSE leadership, demonstrating commitment to safety through language, behaviour and actions
• Experienced with maintenance/operational background in O&M, demonstrated through solid working knowledge.
