The Company:
Our client is an oil and gas super major with operations globally and due to an uplift in project activity we are now looking to recruit a Contractor Technical Authority with responsibility for establishing and implementing the corporate practice for working with contractors.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following activities:

• Effectively manages contractor activities and work to ensure that they meet the corporate standards.
• Working with contractors to ensure alignment with the corporate management systems
• Coordinates contractor activity to ensure compliance technically and in regard to HSE
• Effectively manage the risks associated with contractor activities and work to ensure that they meet corporate standards
• Reviews and evaluates the deviations from best practice and whether these should be escalated
• Leads the corporate continuous improvement, providing expert advice, coaching and mentoring.
• Develops procedures and participates in auditing activity
• Procure new contractor relationships
• Establish supply chain & contractor development & improvement initiatives

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We are therefore looking to receive applications from candidates with candidates with the following skills and experience:

• NNC or degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline.
• Extensive experience of working in both an operator and contracting environment
• Experience of developing and implementing corporate standards and procedures.
• Global travel – 50%
