The Company:
Is the largest independent deepwater producer in the Gulf of Mexico, and has production and/or exploration in Alaska, Algeria, Brazil, China, Indonesia, New Zealand, and Mozambique, Kenya and West and South Africa.

The Role:
Title: Contracts Lead
Report to: Business Services Manager (Maputo)
Location: Maputo, Mozambique
Duration: 2 years

• Primarily responsible for leading all aspects relevant to the contracts and procurement process, including the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award of purchase orders/contracts being developed for the support of in country operations.
• Support the development of existing local contracts and procurement personnel.
• Support contracts and procurement in country activities for the LNG Facilities team (prior to Site Construction commencement)
• Develop and implement contracting plan for all in country requirements.
• Work closely with legal staff in ensuring FCPA and other regulatory requirements are incorporated into the contracting and procurement process.
• Support administration of existing contracts portfolio
• Prepare and assist in required approval documentation (in accordance with the JOA Procedures).
• Undertake commercial and contractual correspondence with suppliers and contractors.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting of contracting process.
• Ensure local content objectives are being considered and implemented in all contracting and procurement activities
• Ensure procurement and contract expenditure is monitored and within approved values amounts

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Tertiary qualifications in business (preferable) or equivalent professional or 10 years minimum relevant experience
•Minimum of 10 years contracting and procurement experience, particularly in a client team.
•Experienced in services contracting supporting operational requirements (gas plant, mining facility etc.)
•Extensive knowledge of contracting and procurement processes, particularly in approval and regulatory processes.
•In depth knowledge of tendering processes
•Good communication skills, both oral and written
•Strong team working skills
•Exposure to working with local content requirements.
