The Role:
Job Description: Contract Management: The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and manage contracts that are assigned to an established Category within the BU. This position will serve as the point of contact for both internal customers as well as the suppliers regarding all contractual issues. Activities include, but are not limited to: • Assist in the development/review specifications, statements of work, performance terms, and/or acceptance criteria with internal customers. • Assist in the preparation and solicitation of competitive bids, quotations, and proposals with pertinent specifications, terms, conditions. • Help evaluate competitive offerings to determine the overall best value for a product/service • Negotiate contractual matters (pricing, terms, etc.) to resolution • Resolves performance related issues • Understand differences between various types of contracts, i.e. Masters, Service Orders, Amendments, Work Authorizations and Call-Outs Contract Administration: While the contract analyst may receive assistance from others, this position will perform some of its own contract administration including but not limited to: • Preparing the supplier contracts as well as existing contract amendments • Ensures contracts are properly executed following the BU’s contracting procedure • Ensures files in Ariba and O drive are complete in accordance with company standards • Assists in periodic reviews of contracting procedure • Assist in establishing key business process improvements and OpCo standardization efforts Market Intelligence: The contract analyst is expected to maintain some market knowledge of the assigned services and ensure the BU is receiving fair value.

Education: College Degree preferred

Experience: 2+ years in contracting

Preferred Skills: Experience in effectively negotiating with contractors and complete appropriate technical and commercial analysis to procure a variety of services at the best overall conditions. Knowledge of risk sharing with contractors; standard CVX contract forms; construction; all risk insurance; bidding and contract preparation. Demonstrates ability to clearly convey concepts and objectives orally; in presentations and in technical reports; both with all internal company stakeholders as well as externally.
