The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
The Contracts Advisor - Execution has the responsibility to support the Project Team in reviewing and executing contract administration processes and coordinate interfaces post-contract award (immediately post award through contract close-out).

Along with the Contracts Advisor, the Contracts Advisor – Execution shall:

• Provide commercial experience and insight through unit rate true-up analysis.
• Ensure process integrity.
• Efficiently provide quantity survey, estimating, contracting and procurement expertise.

Main Responsibilities:

• Resolve commercial scope of work (entitlement) determination.
• Support commercial application/negotiation of unit rate true-up activities.
• Maintain contract documentation and correspondence.
• Maintain/provide necessary updates to the change order log.
• Provide weekly and monthly project metrics.
• Coordinate with the required Change Order approvals
• Assist in the preparation of correspondence to contractors, attend commercial and project meetings, and provide timely commercial status reports.
• Support Contracts Advisor to gain alignment on project contract administration needs, objectives and requirements.
• Support contract close-out activity.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Science, Engineering disciplines or Supply Chain Management.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience in quantity surveying, construction, contracting, experience in major capital projects contracting is preferred
• Unit rate and lump sum experience considered a strong asset
• Analytical, negotiation and communication skills
• Effective interpersonal skills to interface with contractors and business clients
• Must be a self-starter and able to work in a virtual organization
