The Company:
Our client, a major oil and gas operator, seeks a Contracts Advisor to join their project team.

The Role:
Typical requirements:

• Capable of managing all aspects of contracting function for complex domestic and international projects.
• Excellent communicator across language and cultural boundaries.
• Previous experience administering platform and/or pipelines EPCI contracts is desirable.
• Previous experience putting together bid packages
• Understanding of local content initiatives.
• Ability to develop contracting/sourcing strategies, plans, compensation structures, and award bases.
• Applies and explains risk analysis.
• Develops contracting tactics with others including insurance, warranty, risk, and liability.
• Takes lead role in coordination of bid/proposal evaluations and in evaluating the commercial / contractual sections of bids/proposals.
• Negotiates and resolves bidder legal exceptions and commercial terms for complex domestic or international contracts on advice of management.
• Consults key stakeholders and management on project governance requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate commercial review and assessment, negotiations and award.
• Coordinate with legal counsel to finalize contract terms and conditions.
• Coordinate review of contractual exceptions for bid packages with Finance, Tax, Audit and Procurement Groups.
• Member of the contracts negotiation team with responsibility for finalization of contract negotiations with successful bidders.
• Prepare and execute contracts as required by the project team. Prepare and execute confidentiality agreements, technical service agreements, engineering service agreements, contract amendments, change orders, letter agreements, etc.
• Administer contracts after award including all reporting, change orders, claim management processes, compliances and closeouts.
• Assist the various project team members as needed in the day to day management of executed contracts.
• Make business trips as required by the Project.
• Assure project contract needs and schedules are met.
• Assure timely execution of contracts, including obtaining required approvals and ensuring compliance.
• Coordinate and assist in placement of insurance programs as required.
• Ensure proper authorizations and compliance.
• Incorporate all HES requirements into final contract deliverables.
• Ensure document controls, IP and IM risk management practices, and reporting procedures are followed.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Previous experience putting together bid packages
