The Company:
Our client, an international major oil and gas operator, seeks a Contracts Advisor to join their team.

The Role:
The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and manage contracts in Business Unit (BU). This position will serve as the point of contact for both internal customers as well as the suppliers regarding all contractual issues.

This position is expected to work as a team with another Contracts Analyst to support one of the 9 departments in BU and assist in driving Category Management principles in BU.

• The Contract Analyst is expected to maintain some market knowledge of the assigned services and ensure that BU is receiving fair value
• Develop BU Contracts and associated commercial documents to implement Contracting Plans
• Manage the tendering activities associated with Contracts sourcing.
• Manage and Administer Contracts after award - Manages commercial claims and disputes associated with Contracts
• Assist in the development/review specifications, statements of work, performance terms, and/or acceptance criteria with internal customers
• Maintain contract workspace in ACW and assist in periodic contract review process
• Support Strategic Contracting Team Lead in providing analysis and suggestions for change and removes barriers to success

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
BS required (Business Administration, Engineering, Law or equivalent)

• 3+ Years of Direct Contracting Development and Management experience with higher level degree
• Experience in effectively negotiating contracts working with Legal and with suppliers.
• Completing appropriate technical and commercial analysis to procure a variety of services at the best overall conditions.
• Technical Skill-Contract preparation, bid preparation, Ariba contracts, eSourcing, Knowledge of risk sharing with contractors;

• Demonstrates ability to clearly convey concepts and objectives orally; in presentations and in technical reports; both with all internal company stakeholders as well as externally.
• Business Acumen-Understanding of business drivers and ability to develop work and execution plans to meet objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize decision analysis tools and processes to evaluate multiple options for solutions

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
SAP, Ariba buyer and contracts, MBA Preferred
