The Role:
This role will be in support of the Base Business Category Group. Customer base within this category include: Facilities Engineering and Maintenance, Reliability & Integrity and Logistics.

The role will be responsible for, in conjunction with internal subject matter experts, developing contracting & procurement strategies in alignment with business plans and drivers, ensuring delivery of targeted cost reduction and value creation to the company.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Lead strategic sourcing efforts.
Conduct supplier qualification, should cost modelling, prepare request for proposal documentation, coordination of subsequent evaluation / award recommendation, lead negotiations, contract development and ongoing administration.
Ensure compliance and efficiency of contractors.
Accountable for the successful implementation and execution of the sourcing efforts and subsequent delivery of targeted cost reduction and value creation to the company.
Managing the eProcurement supplier process, including developing, loading and maintaining catalogues following any contractual changes. Establishing and ensuring the needs and requirements of key internal and external stakeholders are met.
Conduct local, regional and international market analysis to keep abreast of critical market information, in order to make informed decisions.
Manage and review supplier performance by use of ASR process, scorecards, key performance indicators, customer satisfaction surveys and health checks.
Utilise sources as recommended in Corporate Strategic Cost Management training, such as category analysis, industry journal & indices, consultants and the internet.
Positively influencing contractor HES improvements and performance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
High School Graduate with proven Oil & Gas experience – BS, MBA in Commercial Management preferred.

Strong working knowledge of contracting & procurement principles, including Contract drafting & formulation, legal requirements, Terms & Conditions and risk assessment.
Understanding and experience of our customer base products / service lines desirable.
Experienced in developing contracting strategies, bid analysis and contractor performance metrics.
Working knowledge of Category Management process (Category Planning, Sourcing & Supplier Management).
Must have contracting development and management experience with higher level degree.

Technical Skill - Practice in procurement systems, including Ariba suite of eProcurement modules, related ERP SAP system

Business Acumen - Proven business and commercial acumen, including negotiation skills

Teamwork - An effective team player, supporting internal partnering.
