The Company:
Our client is a leading UK based operator with oil and gas project in over a dozen locations. Due to continued growth and new ventures we are now looking to appoint a Contracts Advisor for a permanent role to be based in London.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following activities:


• Develop sourcing and contracting strategies for supplier engagements and any other IT sourcing initiatives that may be assigned/agreed with stakeholders
• Close liaison with IT to understand requirements, review and plan demand, develop sub-category plans for sourcing execution and on going management
• Lead negotiations to successfully execute Group software / infrastructure deals
• Within sub-category develop contracting strategies for contracts / purchases including the establishment of Framework Agreements with regular suppliers, roll up of multiple contracts with same supplier and exploring global purchasing opportunities
• Review specifications and Scope of Work for completeness and enable the IT Function to translate their requirements into a clearly articulated expression of commercial intent.
• Demonstrates continuous efforts to work co-operatively and jointly to provide a quality and seamless customer service for IT Stakeholders
• Support Contract Holders with Supplier Performance Management and Supplier Relationship Management activities as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We are therefore keen to receive applications from candidates with the following skills and experience:

• A proven record as a negotiator who has delivered savings within the IT procurement category
• Demonstrates contracts management experience
• Has experience in sourcing IT hardware and services
• Experience in negotiating geophysical/E&P software contracts (will be advantageous)
• Exposure to IT Category Management and Strategic Sourcing principles and execution
• International exposure within an Oil and Gas operating environment is a plus
• Demonstrated experience of having managed a spend scope that cuts across multiple geographies
• Contracts formulation experience
• Exposure to the end-to-end Procurement cycle from the development of Category plans through to post-contract administration and supplier management

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
CIPS would be desirable
Degree or an equivalent is Preferred
Experience of senior stakeholder engagement is a plus.
