The Role:
• Provide general contractual / commercial advice to Project Engineers / Managers and prepare correspondence to Contractors on routine contractual / commercial matters for approval by company Representatives.
• Act as a liaison between Project Engineering / Construction and other Departments such as Finance, Legal and Contract Formulation.
• Review correspondence from Contractors and ensure that replies are prepared when necessary. Will participate in the preparation of these responses where appropriate or required.
• Prepare and raise Contracts as required for approval by Representatives for issue to Contractors.
• Obtain guarantees, insurance certificates etc. as required from Contractors and forward to Legal, Insurance and Contract Formulation Groups as necessary for review and approval.
• Raise Contract Supplements / Extensions / Change Orders for approval by Company Representatives and obtain Contractor signatures also.
• Review draft sub-contract enquiries, requests for proposals, bid evaluations, and draft sub-contracts.
• Develops Project Contracts and associated commercial documents to implement Project Contracting Plans
• Manages the bidding, awarding, and administering of activities associated with Project Contracts sourcing.
• Manages and Administers Project Contracts after award
• Manages commercial claims and disputes associated with Project Contracts
•Serves as a primary point of contact for Contractors. Reviews and/or drafts contractual correspondence.
• Coordinates verification of approval of contract payment milestones and processes for project team approval of work tickets.
• Provides Contract interpretation and advice to Project Team members as Required
• Develop, gain approval of, and execute a procedure for managing contract claims and change orders

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• High School Graduate with 5- 10+ Years of Direct Major Capital Project and operator experience required
• Preferred BS, MBA in Engineering or Commercial Management Field Preferred
