The Company:

The Role:
- Assist the Contract Holders to implement the approved contracting strategy for assigned contracts/purchase orders and long lead purchase orders. Manage the procurement process from initiation through to the preparation of Pre-Qualification packages, Invitation to Tender/supply Packages, managing the tender process as well as the technical and commercial evaluations, negotiations and preparing Tender Board submissions, obtain Project. approvals and award purchase orders. Monitor performance of vendors and impact on schedule.
- Maintain and archive purchase order files including Tender Board and Project submissions, signed orders, requisitions, correspondence and other relevant documentation.
- Execute the recording of the entire acquisition spend in an auditable fashion that allows full recovery from Partners. Assist in monitoring the spend and overall contract ceiling.
- Keep sound working relationships with contractors and ensure that the project Business Principles are adhered to.
- Keep sound working relationships with the contract holders to ensure Contractual requirements and the approvals in particular are implemented with a minimum impact on the schedule progress.
- Maintain the project vendors lists.
- Facilitate the establishment of detailed post award vendor management plans. Execute amendments and addendum to purchase orders as part of the ongoing “maintenance” phase of the contract. Increase the level of understanding amongst the engineering staff and contract users of the scope of the orders as well as stimulate commercial awareness.
- To ensure that spare parts are available for use when required by the project through appropriate approvals.
- Timely sourcing, expediting and scheduled delivery of (long lead) items and project materials.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Direct knowledge and sound technical appreciation of all types of oil industry equipment and materials.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the commercial processes for procurement and stock control
• Comprehensive knowledge of Anti Bribery and Corruption and Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) contractual requirements.
• Experience in a materials management and procurement function, with exposure of projects and in project materials management, inventory management.
• Detailed appreciation and knowledge of purchasing-related systems
• In depth knowledge for use of office systems, including Word, Excel, Access, and macros and procurement process flow design.
• Knowledge of working with systems for identifying spare parts
• Experience with preparing and modifying technical specifications, stock coding, and supporting technical documentation.
• Experience with executing contracts for application in Iraq is preferred.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Commercial acumen with focus on delivery.
• Ability to manage the procurement process fully independent.
• Ability to influence the activities of project team members and outside parties including the setting and expediting of policies related to the provision and use of spares
• Pro-active style with an ability to question and challenge others where technical specifications are not clear.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the supply market and potential suppliers, or where commercial benefits can be obtained.
