The Company:
Our client is a major oil and gas company within Australia and is the largest producer of gas to the domestic market within the country. Active for more than 40 years, they have the largest exploration portfolio by area and are currently listed as one of Australia's Top 30 Companies.

The Role:
Summary: the primary responsibility of this position is to develop and manage contracts that are assigned to an established Category ; Serve as the point of contact for both internal customers as well as the suppliers regarding all contractual issues.

Accountabilities specific:
• Assist in the development/review specifications, statements of work, performance terms, and/or acceptance criteria with internal customers
• Assist in the preparation and solicitation of competitive bids, quotations, and proposals with pertinent specifications, terms, conditions.
• Negotiate contractual matters (pricing, terms, etc.) to resolution
• this position will perform some of its own contract administration including but not limited to:
• Preparing the supplier contracts as well as existing contract amendments
• Ensures contracts are properly executed following the BU’s contracting procedure
• Ensures files are complete in accordance with company standards
• Assists in periodic reviews of contracting procedure

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience in effectively negotiating with contractors and complete appropriate technical and commercial analysis to procure a variety of services
• Knowledge of risk sharing with contractors; standard contract forms; construction; all risk insurance; bidding and contract preparation.
• Demonstrates ability to clearly convey concepts and objectives orally; in presentations and in technical reports; both with all internal company stakeholders as well as externally

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Drilling & Well services background & category knowledge
• 10+ years oil & gas experience
• Drilling- contracts managing experience, strategic implementation
