The Company:
With interests in over 20 UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) fields, my Client has one of the most significant exploration and production businesses in the offshore waters of the UK.

The Role:
Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE):
•Ensuring contractor selection, award and performance management processes drive optimal HSSE performance.

Value Delivery
•Applying well-defined C&P processes under limited supervision and in compliance with C&P Standards.
•Proposing and developing more complex tactical plans for well-defined activities and projects.

Governance and Control
•Conducting all C&P activities in accordance with the BG Group Policy and Standards.
Personal and Professional Development
•Developing own Functional, HSSE, interpersonal, and business skills through continuing personal and professional development; specifically, studying to achieve chartered or equivalent professional status, eg MCIPS, CPSM.

Key Tasks in Role
•Accountable for the compilation, tendering, evaluation and execution of contracts required for the ongoing execution of a particular project or within a defined area (i.e. responsible for managing the contractual issues from initiation through to post award) supplier contractor organisations
•Responsible for ensuring that all assigned contracts have adequate HSSE, audit, governance and quality control requirements to enable the company in these areas
•Presentations on Contracts
•Working with external suppliers to obtain a competitive price, appropriate delivery, quality products and payment terms according to the company payment policy
•Identifying value adding opportunities
•Identifying synergies between Aberdeen/Stavanger/Floro to drive savings through "bundling" of services
•Carrying out analysis and influences Europe E&P project and asset management on contracts and procurement issues
•Negotiating with management of supplier contractor organisations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Demonstrated proficiency in first substantive C&P role, including the ability to work effectively with limited supervision, or has appropriate industry experience, including a record of value delivery through application of C&P processes.
•Understands C&P Standards and applies well-defined C&P processes, and is able to deal with routine deviations and amendments
•Understands the influence of good C&P practice on value creation, control and safety performance
•Interacts confidently with peers internally, and externally with representatives of suppliers and contractors
•Developing confidence in making presentations internally, and participating in external negotiations
•Educated to degree level; studying for membership of a relevant professional body (eg MCIPS, CPSM, MIIAPS)
•Fluent in the English language
