The Company:
Our client is an independently owned operator company with group interests across the Middle East. To assist in the management of multiple exploration and appraisal projects in Oman we are looking to identify a Contracts and Procurement Manager for a key role to be offered on a residential basis and based in Muscat, Oman

The Role:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following key skills and responsibility:

• Managing the day to day supply chain and procurement function for circa 3-4 concurrent appraisal projects
• Effective selection of sub contract and supply chain partners
• Establishing an efficient procurement and logistics operation to include both global and local supply line
• Liaison with field operations and project managers to ensure timely and cost effective delivery of supply chain function within budget
• Weekly and monthly reporting function
• Management and development of small – mid sized contracts and procurement internal teams

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We are therefore keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Degree educated or equilevant
• Minimum of 10 years oil and gas sector experience in relevant supply chain position
• Previous involvement in exploration and seismic appraisal projects
• A track record in early project phase activity to include setting up systems and supply chain teams
• Ability to train and mentor international and local employees
