The Role:
Ensure that all Contracts are placed, ad ministrated and managed in an appropriate manner to ensure the overall requirements of the project are met
Provide relevant expertise within the Project in both, a technically self-sufficient capacity, as well as, leading the Project Contracts & Procurement Team.
The role involves managing both internal and external resources and interfaces according to the project scope and schedule.
It is expected that the Contracts & Procurement Manager will lead the development of negotiations and the delivery of contract documents of the highest standard.
The role shall involve representation of the Project where appropriate to Contractor(s), consulting companies and service providers as appropriate to the needs of the work.

Key Responsibilities:
Accountable for performing all duties with due regard to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing of self, others and the environment in which they are undertaken
Provide direction and guidance to ensure high standards in Contracts & Procurement work and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure all activities are undertaken in accordance with Company procedures (C&P procedures, HSE etc), industry good practice and the requirements of the JOA
Function as a member of the client's Project Management Team
Represent the Project within teh client as well as towards Partners, internal and external stakeholders and external service providers
Manage both internal and external resources according to the project scope and schedule to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
Accountable for the placement, administration and management of all contracts associated with the development
Accountable for the tendering, evaluation and negotiation process in relation to the award of contracts and agreements and makes recommendations to management.
Lead any dispute negotiations
Lead the implementation of Supplier Relationship management within the team including structuring value driven KPI's and performance reviews
Responsible for ensuring both the P&SCM and Project manager are fully informed of the status of activities and any potential issues that may arise
Interface with the Operational Support and Drilling teams to ensure all of the relevant operational and drilling requirements are fully addressed.
Ensure the Project Governance Process is applied systematically and effectively in evolving the definition
Champion QHSE across the project and effectively cascaded to the Project supply chain.
Assist Project Team in co-ordination and management
Be accountable for controlling change and highlighting change and/or risk issues to the Project Manager.
External
Management representatives of Contractor(s), Suppliers, Industry peers and FPAL.
Supply chain Representatives in other Affiliates.
Project Partner interfaces
Internal:
Work effectively with Corporate peers. Contractors and Company dept managers (Projects, Operations, Logistics, finance, Legal & HR etc.).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Have a proven track record of involvement in projects
Significant and in-depth knowledge of standard forms of contracts, conditions and conventions prevalent in the North Sea UKCS arena.
Experience of dispute resolution.
As a minimum be Degree qualified in a relevant business discipline, skilled in the practice of Contracting & Procurement with proven experience of analogous projects.
10-15 Years oil & gas or related experience
Experience in Leading and Managing a team across a number of locations
Experience in the preparation and evaluation of tenders is required.
Knowledge and experience of various contracting strategies and commercial structures is required.
The successful candidate should also possess familiarity with fabrication and construction practices.
