The Company:
A major oil & gas client(operator) known world wide for its reputation.
Currently running a major downstream project on complex rejuvenation based in Bintulu looking forward to hire an ideal candidate for this mentioned role.

The Role:
To manage the execution of the complete Category Management & Contracting Process (CMCP) including Contract Strategy, Tactics and Contract Management activities for a portfolio matrix of category spend and strategic and tactical contracts in SMDS. Reporting directly to the Contracting and Procurement Manager, this position works in close conjunction with the key Business stakeholders.

Principal Accountabilities:

Analyse CP and Business requirements and external market dynamics
Contracting and procurement of goods and services for specific categories
Developing and managing local contracts in compliance with Strategies and Group Contract Management process
Manage contract and contractor performance
Deliver value improvement and third party spend savings by leveraging on material management, supplier & category management with the application of the 40-40-20 Demand/Specifications/Price concept.
Ensure all commercial activity is fully aligned with the Global Category Strategy and CP principles
Close coordination with Business stakeholders
Strong interpersonal, influencing & stakeholder management skills.
Deputize for CP Manager in his/her absence.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A degree level or equivalent with relevant experience in Contracting and Procurement.
10 years experience minimum
Ability to plan and execute work plans within tight time constraints is essential
Team player with considerable interpersonal and communication skills.
High degree of integrity in dealing with all relevant authorities and in handling sensitive information
Good knowledge of Crystal SAP processes or other systems such as EP Blueprint and GSAP

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Perform an HSSE assurance role as representative of the CP function in HSSE critical processes and activities.
These include HSSE Critical Activities/Equipment defined in the “SMDS Critical Activities Register” under SMDS HEMP Procedure, especially in area for getting the correct service/materials in order to maintain HEMP risk barriers & MOC
