The Role:
The C&P Team Lead is responsible for the delivery of all C&P solutions including the categories of Drillex (Drilling and Exploration), Marine, Indirects and Operations, but excluding Capital Projects.

This role must ensure that C&P optimise business needs and value whilst aligning with the C&P Europe E&P Asset strategy. This role will manage a small team also based in Stavanger.

Key attributes:
• Responsible for overseeing that the procurement of goods or services to support Norway based operations are in compliance with local requirements, C&P strategy and Group Standards and industry best practice;
• Procurement experience across multiple categories;
• Significant team leadership and collaboration skills across functions, levels within the organisation and countries (Norway, UK, Head office, and other Assets from around the world);
• Manage stakeholder engagement activities for all key stakeholders in Norway, including members of The Asset Leadership Team;
• Play a lead role in driving forward the local development of complex C&P business solutions and procurement activity in collaboration with the broader team; the Asset Category Teams;
• Responsible for the management and development of a small team;
• Fluent in both Norwegian and English (verbal and written);
• Good knowledge of contracting under Norwegian law;
• Based in the Stavanger office with some travel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Strong procurement and contracting background developed in the upstream oil & gas sector is essential, coupled with a track record of demonstrable success.

Prior experience of directly managing small teams and remote reporting lines. Used to working across different functions in organisation. Demonstrable leadership skills of working in multifaceted environments.
The post holder must have:

Education
• Typically degree qualification in a relevant discipline e.g. Supply Chain Management, Business Studies, would be desirable
• CIPS Membership desirable

• Relevant C&P expertise;
• Requires full understanding of C&P tools and techniques and relevant regulatory / legislative requirements within area of work;
• Hands on working knowledge and understanding of SAP and C&P business support systems such as SAP & PROCON and have excellent computer literacy and highly developed numeracy skills;
