The Company:
The Client has a unique position in the UK energy sector with 60 years of energy sector experience and in the last 10 years has built a strong business resulting in a strong presence re the UK's energy needs.

The Role:
•Ensure that cost-effective and high performing contracts and agreements are delivered and administered in accordance with company procedures and in a professional and ethical manner.
•Co-ordinate activities to ensure contracts and agreements are placed in a timely manner in order to meet the Drilling requirements and support the on going activities.
•Ensure Company is not exposed to unnecessary contractual or commercial risk in the course of its business.
•Accountable for performing all duties with due regard to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing of self, others and the environment in which they are undertaken
•Provide direction and guidance to ensure high standards in Contracts & Procurement work and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
•Provide support in developing contracting strategies and tender plans for operations including submissions to Tender Board and Partners for approval
•Pre-qualification: To work in collaboration with the technical personnel to prepare and issue suitable documentation to enable a bid list to be formulated.
•ITT Preparation: To compile ITT documentation with the necessary commercial/contractual input from the relevant personnel.
•Bid Analysis: To compile and analyse the documentation required to objectively award the contracts; and to negotiate with the nominated contractors’ representatives.
•Contract Administration: To provide ongoing support to the relevant technical personnel with the administration of the contract.
•Documentation: To establish the necessary systems and contracts to comply with project procedures and management requirements.
•Communication: To assist the CTL by communicating appropriately and accurately with the C&P function, discussing relevant points with legal/insurance/finance personnel (internal and external liaison).
•Supplier relationship management with key contractors and suppliers to ensure optimum value for the business
•Coordinating the recording of Savings for operations according to Company procedures.
•Providing support to expediting services carried out by Company Engineering Contractor, especially with respect to “problem” suppliers/contracts.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Educated to HNC/Degree/ Chartered level in an appropriate discipline.
•Ideally with a post graduate qualification in a complementary professional body such as MRICS or MCIPS
•Significant knowledge and practical experience in a Contracts & Procurement role including pre qualification, tender process, negotiation of complex technical contracts, commercial evaluation and award, Contract management, claims and closeout.
•In-depth understanding of Contractor remuneration & their commercial implications
•Ability to draft appropriate contract clauses and terms
•Significant knowledge of supplier relationship management
•Extensive knowledge and understanding of model contract conditions with particular emphasis on liability, indemnity and insurance regimes related to the offshore sector
