The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Our Client is looking for an experienced Contracts Engineer for a 12 month contract.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Achieve cost savings through the contracting process
• Conduct prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award of contracts , in the most cost effective manner in accordance with approved Procedures
• Coordinate on contractual, commercial, taxation, insurance, HSES and legal issues with relevant internal stakeholders
• Negotiation of Contractors qualifications and exceptions during tender evaluation
• Ensure Contractor deliverables to tender/contract documents are delivered in a timely matter
• Finalise award and participate in management of Contracts. Ensure Contract Variations and Contract Claims are identified early and managed in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain time and payment schedules and milestones as per pricing mechanism
• Ensure commercial and contractual correspondence with contractor is efficiently handled
• Liaise with project team members to ensure commitments and milestones are achieved and liaise with Contractor to expedite progress mindful of foreseen overruns/claims/ liquidated damages
• Administration of legal issues related to damages, claims, disputes, litigations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability and competence in the following commercial, technical and interpersonal aspects:
• Minimum of 5 years Contracts & Procurement experience
• Oil and gas industry experience highly desirable
• Previous contracts experience within an IM&T environment
