The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
In this role, you’ll provide contracts engineering support to Corporate & Project on various scopes within IT as assigned with some supervision and support from the Contract Coordinator.

You’ll be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects relevant to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award & execution and
management and close out of contracts in the most cost effective manner in accordance with company’s approved Procedures. These responsibilities include:

• Coordinating on contractual, commercial, taxation, insurance, HSES and legal issues with relevant internal stakeholders
• Negotiating of Contractors qualifications and exceptions during tender evaluation
• Preparation of documents for presentation to Contracts Committee and various JV approval committees
• Ensuring Contractor deliverables to tender/contract documents are delivered in a timely matter
• Ensuring Australian Industry Participation objectives are being considered and implemented in all contracting and procurement activities
• Finalising award and participate in management of Contracts
• Ensure Contract Variations and Contract Claims are identified early and managed in accordance with company’s procedure

In addition, you’ll maintain time and payment schedules and milestones as per pricing mechanism. You’ll liaise with project team members to ensure commitments and milestones are achieved and liaise with Contractor to expedite progress mindful of foreseen overruns/claims/ liquidated damages. You’ll ensure the Company’s commitment to and compliance with safety, quality and health regimes is reflected in all Contracts.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have:

• Engineering / Quantity Surveying qualification, Business Administration, Law or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum of 5 years Contracts & Procurement experience, preferably in Oil and Gas industry
• Experience in contract formulation activities within IT, systems and processes coupled with a working knowledge of engineering and or services/consultancy practices
• SAP skills (MM module)
• Understanding of local content requirements in the contracting process
• Ability to multi-task

This is a 12 month contract, Perth based.
