Job Title: Contracts Engineer
Job Location: Aberdeen
Rate/Salary: £300 to £450 per Day
Duration: 12 months
Residency: UK

The Company:
Our company is the leading independent oil operator in the North Sea with a dynamic management team and exciting growth plans to develop their operations further in the UKCS. They are currently seeking experienced Contracts Engineers to work on various key projects within their growing business. The roles are based in Aberdeen and report directly to the the Strategic Supply Manager

The Role:
This position is ultimately responsible for championing the provision of all contracts and relevant support within the company in relation to all vendors and stakeholders and/or projects

Responsibilities

Negotiate, set up and advise on contract agreement terms and conditions (Master Agreements, Service Agreements and Purchase/Rental Orders)
· Ensure all contract services required by the company are procured in a timely, safe and cost effective manner in accordance with company policies, procedures and relevant UK/EU regulations
· Assist with the creation and administration of a suite of logic based standard contracts suitable for the EnQuest business portfolio.
· Assist with agreeing and negotiating contract services documentation, including but not limited to Preparation of Invitation to Tender packages (ITT), commercial evaluation of ITTs, clarification meetings through to contract execution
· Participate in meetings with contracting entities to ensure the company's commercial standards are being adhered to with respect to price, performance of contract services and service delivery.
· Assist with establishing a robust Contract Management process and ongoing management thereafter.
· Initiate and perform pre/post contract reviews. Implement lessons learned and knowledge management.
· Procure materials, equipment and goods in a timely, safe and cost effective manner in accordance with Company’s BMS policies, procedures and processes, and any relevant UK/EU regulations
· Promote the use of and work in compliance with the Company’s Business Management System
· Active participation, promotion and development of the Company’s Safety and Environment policies
· Assist with the evaluation, review and revision of the contract process and standardise contracts to implement standards and templates that are fit for purpose.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Preferably educated to degree level in either QS, Business management or Law
although consideration will be given to someone who can demonstrate the appropriate
knowledge and skills gained through experience
· Can articulate learning and training experiences
Demonstrable working knowledge of contractual Terms & Conditions in the contract
and procurement arenas.
· Able to demonstrate cost reductions, value for money spend and effective strategic
supply experience
· Good Relevant knowledge and skills gained in a commercial/contracting environment,
preferably in the UKCS Oil and Gas business
· Drilling contracts experience would be preferred
