The Company:
Our client is a global operator in the oil and gas sector.

The Role:
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

The job holder is responsible for all aspects of contract planning, contract strategy development / risk assessments, contractor pre-qualification, issue of invitation to tender, tender evaluation, contract award, post contract administration and contract close-out. Job holder’s work will include, but is not restricted to;

• Pro-active interface and involvement with the head of contracts, project manager and project team, and provide advice and recommendations in response to project management information requests on day-to-day contractual and commercial information requests as they arise,
• Formulation of strategies and risk assessments to protect companies commercial interests with regards to companies contracted projects,
• Ensure compliance with companies Contracting Policy & Procedures and US Export Controls and EU utilities directive if applicable,
• Identify via FPAL/ARCHILLES potential bidders for goods and/or services required, and prepare and execute contractor pre-qualifications,
• Prepare and act as a focal point for all Invitation to Tender including proposed contract terms and conditions based on companies Master Agreements or LOGIC model contracts, including remuneration, scope of work and other contract sections.
• Prepare tender evaluations and post receipt of tenders, undertake commercial evaluations for combining with technical evaluations,
• Prepare and attend meetings and protect companies commercial interests, write minutes and distribute to attendees / interested parties,
• Review of all commercial matters and correspondence submitted by contractors and provide advice and recommendations to project management team on there response
• Prepare contract documentation for execution
• Process contractors milestone and payment requests,
• Review of all change and variation requests submitted by contractors, process company variation orders or notices of rejection,
• Review Contractor’s submitted claims, advise and recommendations to all levels of management on there validity, processing and company response,
• Liaise with legal, insurance, finance, health safety and environment, quality management departments as required,
• Contract management; provide regular reports and their updates to the project team, line manger and senior company management together with irregular reports as requested,
• Final account preparation and Contract close out.

Safety Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health & Safety and the Environment by following all applicable processes and procedures

Main Interfaces:
The job holder will liaise mainly with the project manager and team in addition to Contracts and Procurement department

The job holder will liaise with execution contractors, service contractors and vendors as appropriate

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The job holder must have:
• Relevant engineering / technical qualification
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Position would suit someone with experience in the international Oil & Gas industry
• It is essential that the candidate has pre and post contracts experience & extensive experience working for an operator
• Candidate must have experience of EPIC, TURNKEY, Construction contracts and Drilling
• Experienced in multi-discipline interaction and co-ordination
• Capable to use all specific PC software

Required Competencies:
The job holder must have proven competencies to cover his or her role.
