The Company:
My client, a leading oil services company with operations worldwide is looking to recruit a Contracts Engineer

The Role:
Subcontracts Enginner required to support brownfield project.

Responsibilities and Duties


• Placement and management of project subcontracts in accordance with project strategy and commercial policies and procedures. This includes responsibllity from prequlification through competitive tenders to award.

• Maintain and promote a safe working environment and demonstrate correct HSE behaviours and leadership.

• Ensuring that CRB approval process followed and all necessary approvals obtained.

• Preparation of appropriate contract documentation in accordance with policy and procedural requirements.

• Review and approval of subcontractor payment applications.

• Control of subcontract costs.

• Preparation and submission of monthly subcontract liabilities reports in accordance with policies and procedures.

• Preparation/compilation of all subcontract costs and supporting documentation for project invoicing/ forecasting requirements in accordance with the contract.

• Evaluation of sub-contractor claims.

• Preparation and agreement of subcontractor performance evaluation reports in accordance with contract requirements

• Preparation of final accounts and close out of subcontracts in accordance with contract requirements.

• Provision of subcontracts advice to project team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications



• University graduate or above in Quantity Surveying, Law, Business Studies or other appropriate discipline.

• Extensive working experience in similar role(s) in the oil and gas industry

• Membership of a professional institution (eg RICS) desirable but not essential

• Specific competencies to be in accordance with commercial management competence scheme.
