Leading integrated energy company. A major player in exploration and production, power generation & trading they use their strong brands and distinctive assets and capabilities to achieve success in their chosen markets.
This role is within our clients Renewable Energy business - windfarm construction projects.

Per diem may apply - £80 per day (payable 7 days per week) if on weekly commute.

The Role:
Overview:
To provide contract tendering and post award management within the existing Contracts and Procurement team for our client's wind farm construction project(s).

The work will involve working with Package Managers on one or more wind farm construction work packages. Work Packages include Wind Turbine Supply and Installation and balance of plant works including design, supply and construction packages for; electrical transmission systems (onshore and offshore), subsea cables, wind turbine foundations, vessels for construction, heavy lift and support works.

Responsibilities:
Management of the entire contracting life-cycle for assigned work package(s) from initiation to close out, typically including pre-contract (strategy, tendering, negotiation, selection and award) and post award contract management (approval of payment requests, issue and review of contractual correspondence, management of change orders, variations, amendments and claims, etc).
Liaise with group support functions such as legal and insurance in the selection and development of appropriate forms of contract and risk allocation.
Liaise with functional specialists in engineering, construction, HSE and quality to develop appropriate Invitation to Tender packages, evaluate tenders and prepare recommendations for award.
Liaise with functional specialists in project controls to set budgets and manage and report on progress.


A ‘hands-on’ role with an expectation that the individual can work unsupervised on his or her own initiative while operating within a procedural framework.

Current and future projects are high value offshore wind farm construction projects contracted on a multi-contract basis.

Will require occasional business travel with overnight stays for supplier negotiations and meetings

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Contract tendering and management for complex high value construction works.
Client side contracts tendering and management.
Experienced in negotiating major engineering and construction contracts.
Sound knowledge of common contract terms and their application.
Management of contract variations, amendments and claims.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Contract tendering and management of works in an offshore environment.
Business Degree / MBA / MRICS/ CIPS qualified.
Wind farm construction experience beneficial
