The Company:
Our client is an Independent oil and gas Operator, operating globally in the Oil, Gas and Energy Industry. This role will be based out of our client's offices in the East Anglia Region.

The Role:
Our client requires an Experienced Contracts Engineer to be a part of the Assett Transition Team, for the current transition of assetts recently purchased from another Oil and Gas Operator.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager:
• Analyse the previous Service Contract hand-over Inventory, match operational needs to our client's existing Contract Services Inventory and identify gaps;
• Compile Contract Novation Register. Ensure that Contract Novations are administered in good time and documentation is received and stored electronically in the Contract database;
• Liaise with the Asset Transition Team, and other Contracts and Procurement teams involved in the transition to prepare necessary bespoke in-fill Service Contracts, Contract Amendments and Variations;
• Liaise with Legal, Insurance and Tax specialists as required;
• Provide support to ensure future Contract Users have access to adequate information and are well prepared in sufficient time to enable a smooth transition of the new Asset;
• Update Contract Registers, Variation and Amendment Registers;
• Manage data flow within this transition and safe document storage;
• Ensure all new Contract documents are visible to users using the Document Management System

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate will:

• Be able to demonstrate similar practical experience in a Supply Chain Management (SCM) role with an Oilfield Operator, Drilling Contractor, Service Company or large process industry (petrochemical, pharmaceutical, utilities, CPG or food);
• Be a flexible, team player, able to work effectively in a dynamic environment with different disciplines;
• Be a creative thinker, well motivated, with ability to work with a high degree of self initiative; ;
• Be a an effective communicator at all levels of management both internally and externally;
• Demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen and awareness;
• Have knowledge of LOGIC Contracts and similar industry forms;
• Have good contract drafting skills.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Ideally be Chartered with the Institute of Purchasing and Supply, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or similar.
