The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
To support the development and operation of these substantial assets, we are seeking a talented Contracts Engineer to provide contracts engineering support to the Corporate & Projects on various corporate services related contracts in the on and offshore environment.

In this role you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects related to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award, as well as execution, management and close-out of contracts.

Other key responsibilities include:
-Coordinating on contractual, commercial, taxation, insurance, HSES and legal issues
-Ensuring Contractor deliverables to tender/contract documents are delivered in a timely matter
-Maintaining time and payment schedules and milestones as per pricing mechanism
-Ensuring commercial and contractual correspondence with contractor is efficiently handled
-Administrating legal issues related to damages, claims, disputes, litigations
-Taking on special projects with a proactive attitude and seeing through to successful conclusion

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Engineering/Quantity Surveying qualification, Business Administration, Law or equivalent professional qualification
-Minimum of 5 years Contracts & Procurement experience, preferably from an oil and gas operating environment
-Experience in contract formulation activities, systems and processes coupled with a working knowledge of engineering or services / consultancy practices
-SAP skills (MM module)
-Ability to multi-task and excellent understanding of local content requirements in the contracting process.
