The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
• To ensure all contracts are completed successfully to agreed time/ cost/ scope targets to satisfaction.
• Support sales, tendering and management in commercial matters.
• Reviewing and negotiating customer terms and conditions where appropriate.
• Ensure full & accurate handover of all contracts between tendering, engineering and contracts departments in regard but not limited to; commercial, financial, technical matters.
• Ensure compliance with group directives, local legislation and work instructions (e.g. risk review process, sensitive countries / industries / contractual terms).
• Successfully mediate and resolve disputes between company and their customers or suppliers.
• Track margin and cash flow through the course of the contract to ensure cash flow is positive and margin does not erode and report any instances where this occurs.
• Ensure revenue targets are met, and margin is enhanced wherever possible but not at the expense of long term customer and supplier relationships.
• Keep accurate and detailed files (paper and electronic) for each contract including H&S documentation, Quality documentation, change orders and compensation event logs etc.
• Travel to customer and supplier sites to carry out site inspections, oversee site work and attend factory witness tests both in the UK and aboard when required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Proven track record of running successful projects in the electrical / construction industry
Attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and take the initiative.
• Confidence to make decisions and take responsibility for projects.
• Commercial knowledge i.e. Contract law, terms and conditions etc.
• Understanding of project finance, cash flows etc.
• Management of remote/site work teams.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Project management qualifications – e.g. PMI or Prince
• Higher level engineering qualification (e.g. ONC, HNC, HND or degree); preferably electrical.
• Basic working knowledge of variable speed drives, transformers, motors, switchgear and associated equipment.
• Proven record in dispute resolution
• Supply chain management experience/qualifications
