The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
Our client is looking for a Contracts Engineer to join the contracts department reporting to a Contracts Manager.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

• Conduct prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award of contracts in compliance with laws, regulations, internal policy, standards and procedures
• Perform market trend investigation and benchmarking to ensure contractors are in line with industry standard
• Coordinate on contractual, commercial, taxation, insurance, HSES and legal issues
• Negotiate contractors qualifications and exceptions
• Ensure contractor’s deliverables to tender/contract documents are delivered in a timely matter
• Ensure Australian Industry Participation objectives are implemented
• Finalise award and participate in management of contracts
• Handle commercial and contractual correspondence
• Administration of legal issues related to damages, claims, disputes, litigations

In order to be considered you will have the ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability and competence in the following commercial, technical and interpersonal aspects:
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with senior stakeholders in the business
• Develop and maintain professional networks to assist the organizations strategic objectives
• Develop and sustain a professional working relationship with major Contractors
• Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with peers
