The Role:
Our leading client is currently seeking a Contracts Engineer to be based in Angola on a residential basis on a on-going contract.

The scope of the SERVICE consists in procurement and contracts technical assistance. The SERVICE encompasses mainly the following parts:
- Promotion of the Contracts function which requires timely input from technical departments;
- As ‘Triplet’ member, interface with technical counterpart, and establish communication;
- Establishment of contracting-out policy together with ‘Triplet’ counterpart to find synergies and/or reduce exposure of COMPANY;
- Revision and consideration of the legal aspects associated with contracts administration, liaising with the Legal Department, and providing advice to clients as appropriate;
- Development and maintain of market information systems in order to provide up-to-date details of both Contractors and market conditions;
- Proposition, pre-qualification and recommendation of suitable contractors for bid lists to maximise tendering efficiency;
- Revision and compilation of the technical part of the ITT package based on input received from Technician;
- Compilation and issue of tender packages to procure the most realistic and commercially attractive proposals from potential contractors;
- Draft of appropriate contractual and commercial terms and conditions to best serve and protect the COMPANY’s interests;
- Management of specific customer group(s) in terms of contract planning and management;
- First point of contact for specialist/dedicated client group;
- Build and maintain of relationships with clients, through the establishment of a highly visible presence within client locations, in order to establish and maintain a highly effective service;
- Build and maintain of relationships with suppliers in order to secure positive, constructive and cost effective commercial agreements for the COMPANY.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- From 3 years experience in the Oil & Gas Industry
- Knowledge of the upstream metiers, the legal environment, Insurance and Tax
- Proficiency in C&P tools such as SAP, file manager
