The Role:
A Contracts Engineer/Quantity Surveyor is required to work as part of the Pembroke Procurement team on a 6 month contract.
Duties will include;
• Conduct all contracting process/activities in a professional manner within a team framework and in accordance with the Company Procurement & Contracting Procedures.
• Pre and post contract administration including Bill of Quantities
• Preparation and presentation to the Tender Committees all Tender Plan/Contracting Strategy
• tender package preparation
• Where necessary, review and liaise with company legal personnel on the completeness of the Terms & Conditions of contracts relevant to the scope of work.
• Co-ordinate the Technical Evaluation Process, and responsible for the Technical Bid Evaluation Process
• Lead the Commercial Evaluation Process
• Organise and lead negotiation meeting
• Review and verify Contractors progress payment certificates and invoices
• Managing interim payments
• Manage and administer the project/contract close-out processes which include final account close out
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will preferably have procurement experience in the oil and gas industry, be educated to degree level (or equivalent), be able to work with minimum supervision, have good interpersonal and negotiation skills and manage.
