The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
This is a very urgent Position.
This role will be primarily based in Malaysia.

Position Primary Objective:
Provide contracts engineering support to the Project on various scopes as assigned.
• Responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects relevant to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award of contracts for FPSO Turrets scope being undertaken in Korea.

Occupational Health and Safety
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures. Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
• Ensure the Company’s commitment to and compliance with safety, quality and health regimes is reflected in all Contracts.

Offshore EPC/EPCI Contracts
• Providing contract/procurement advice to our client's and Offshore Facilities Detail Design contractor.
• Ensure Detailed Design (DD) Contractor deliverables to ITT/Contract documents are delivered in a timely matter
• Ensure Contract Variations are identified early and advised to Contract Representative
• Ensure that contract processes are being carried out in the most efficient and cost effective manner utilising our client's approved procedures
• Preparation of documents for presentation to our client's Contracts Committee and various JV approval committees
• Participate is Contract audits, reviewing records for accuracy and conformance to standards
• Co-ordinate and lead pre-qualifying process and endorse recommended contractors/suppliers for tender lists, in order to maximise tendering efficiency
• Co-ordinate and lead the development, compilation, sourcing, pre-tenders, Invitations to Tender, tender openings, and evaluations of proposals received including all requests for qualifications
• Ensure commercial and contractual correspondence with contractors are efficiently handled
• Develop and analyse contract documentation (Interpretation of Contract Scope, Terms and Conditions of Contracts)
• Finalise award and subsequent management of Contracts
• Negotiate Contractors qualifications and exceptions to Contract
• Ensure market trend investigation and benchmark activity within the industry is efficiently performed to ensure contractors & suppliers are quoting competitively and in line with the industry standard
• Liaise with project team members to ensure commitments and milestones are achieved and liaise with Contractor to expedite progress mindful of foreseen liquidated damages
• Maintain time and payment schedules and milestones as per pricing mechanism, and advise payment terms accordingly
• Maintain contract payment position and prepare periodical contractual credit and liability statement in accordance with provisions of contract
• Administration of legal issues related to damages, claims, disputes, litigations
• Provide advice and seek counsel on contractual, commercial, taxation, insurance and legal issues
• Input into weekly contracts and procurement status reports
• Ensure Australian Industry Participation objectives are being considered and implemented in all contracting activities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Engineering/Quantity Surveying qualification, Business Administration, Law or equivalent professional or 10 plus years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 10 years Project Contracts experience, particulary in Offshore Facilities EPCs (eg FPSO/FSO/Platforms/Semi-submersibles)
• Experience in contract formulation activities, systems and processes coupled with a sound working knowledge of engineering, fabrication and construction practices.
• Experience working in FEED teams, particularly with FEED Contractors
• Understanding of local content requirements in the contracting process
• The candidate must have experience with contracts for the detailed design and construction of the FPSO Turret.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have condensate FPSO experience.
Overseas experience preferably in the South East Asia region.
